My Health Journey

Cheryl Buckley's personal health journey is what led her to practicing Holistic Nutrition. At the age of 30 she suffered from migraines and was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. She was pushed into early menopause with her hormones completely out of sync. Cheryl developed joint pain, digestive issues, poor sleep and brain fog. She was not happy with western medicines approach of just medicating her without getting to the root cause. As a Nutritionist Cheryl did research and found a practice called Functional Nutritional Medicine – also known as Holistic Nutrition. As a nutritionist she was intrigued on how the whole-body approach could heal her from the inside out. Cheryl went on to study this practice and became an anti-inflammatory RD who specializes in gut health and immune support through the use of a Mediterranean plant-based diet.

What Is Holistic Nutrition?

Holistic nutrition focuses on addressing the root cause of your health troubles, rather than just masking your symptoms with medications. The first part in the healing process is to remove any obstacles to good health that you may be facing. These obstacles could include:

During the initial consultation, Cheryl will get to know you and discuss a detailed history of your lifestyle and nutrition habits. She will identify areas you would like to focus your work on and build an individualized plan to help you reach those goals. In your follow-up sessions, she will develop strategies to keep you moving forward and reassess along the way.

What My clients are saying

"When I contacted Cheryl I was at point of fear. I did not feel well at all. For the first time in my life I had, gastrointestinal/health issues. Not a simple indigestion, but other issues that were impacting the quality of my life. I knew my issues were not a quick fix...and hoped to find someone to help me feel better through what I knew would be a process. Cheryl WAS and IS that person. She listened, researched, worked with me on trial and error. Her support always had an educated answer and continues to work with me and now my family focusing on health. In the meantime, I am eating healthier than I have ever in my life. Thanks to Cheryl I have dropped a ton of weight and most importantly feel better. I am grateful to Cheryl and her guidance which has set us on a healthier path. I only wish I had started working with Cheryl earlier."
