My Health Journey

My own personal health journey is what has led me to practicing Holistic Nutrition. At the age of 30 I suffered from migraines and was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. I was pushed into early menopause with my hormones completely out of sync. I developed joint pain, digestive issues, poor sleep and brain fog. I was not happy with western medicines approach of just medicating me without getting to the root cause. As a Nutritionist I did research and found a practice called Functional Nutritional Medicine – also known as Holistic Nutrition. As a nutritionist I was intrigued on how the whole-body approach could heal me from the inside out. I went on to study this practice and became an anti-inflammatory RD who specializes in gut health and immune support through the use of a Mediterranean plant-based diet.

What Is Holistic Nutrition?

Holistic nutrition focuses on addressing the root cause of your health troubles, rather than just masking your symptoms with medications. The first part in the healing process is to remove any obstacles to good health that you may be facing. These obstacles could include:

During the initial consultation, we will get to know each other and discuss a detailed history of your lifestyle and nutrition habits. We will identify areas you would like to focus on in our work together and build an individualized plan to help you reach your goals. In our follow-up sessions, we will develop strategies to keep you moving forward and reassess along the way.

What treatments are used in Holistic Nutrition?

Cheryl uses personalized nutrition to stimulate your body’s natural healing and regenerative properties to improve your overall well-being.

What My clients are saying

I contacted Cheryl really when I was at point of fear. I really did not feel well. I had for the first time in my life, gastrointestinal/health issues. Not a simple indigestion, but other issues that were impacting the quality of my life. I knew my issues were not a quick fix...and hoped to find someone to help me feel better through what I knew would be a process. Cheryl WAS and IS that person. She listened, researched, worked with me on trial and error. She was supportive, always had an educated answer and continues to work with me and now my family focussing on health. In the meantime, I am eating healthier than I have ever in my life. I have dropped a ton of weight and most importantly feel better. I am grateful to Cheryl and her guidance which has set us on a healthier path. I only wish I had started working with Cheryl earlier.
